happy happy happy ....

sy quote.
so happy new year! (sooo good..mmmm)

okay so you know what happened up until christmas - i was anxiously awaiting calling you! thinking i was going to bawl at the sight of you but i didnt. and my comp ended up doing that and i just laughed... so great! i loved seeing you all! i know i gained weight #dontcurr #heavyisheavenly #biggirlsarebeautiful #workoutwhenimhome #cantbeskinnyonamish too many hashtags sorry. not sorry.

okay so this week i have decided that there are at least 10 things that made it GRRRRRREAT! and here they are:
1 i got to see yall!
2 i got to eat delicious carne asada and drink horchata in december...vampire weekend for dayz...even though i cant listen or sing that song(listen to it now)
3 we got to teach part of the restoration to our ginger viking referral(sunderhaus family) Chrystel - she is a wonderful french lady suffering from severe depression because of a custody issue over her 6yrold daughter and is looking for an outlet knowing that the only true way to receive happiness is through Jesus Christ.(she is ultra ready...im a little excited..!!!!)
4 Chrystel came to church! and became acquainted with Adly Thebaud(Recent RM) and his mom Jossette who are haitian and speak french beautifully - they are the best and he wants her to come over to their house for lessons and dinner. YES!) this is where i wish i wouldve taken spanish and french - i may take up on learning some while i am out... oops. #giftoftongues #giftsofthespirit
5 we got another referral from members who are not ultra pumped about missionary work - the referree was not interested but hey still a miracle.
6 got to get in contact with 2 less active members whom ive never met - no lesson but contact. huge miracle
7 GOT PACKAGES post christmas.&got an adorable skirt from an adorable mom - thank you! what a daymaker
8 ate at cracker barrel for the first time... not sure how i feel about it.... but with some great old people whom i love. i love old people. sister christiansen had a stroke and 2 days later flew to SLC to watch her Gdaughter perform in Snow White XChristmas as snow white. amazing.
9 got to do service for members of the ward - my favorite way to express love to people. 10 felt at home far from home this christmas. i am so grateful for the members that made me feel like family and share their christmas with me. may have not been like the Hart family christmas but it felt like a family christmas!

i am so grateful for this short time that i have to serve that savior. I know that it is through him that i am strengthened, comforted, and made whole! It is through him that I can do ALL things. he is my rock and my redeemer and my savior! D&C 76:22 And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!
I LOVE THIS WORK AND AM SO GRATEFUL THAT I CAN BE HERE TO SHARE IT WITH OTHERS!
i love you all! thanks for all you have done and continue to do for me.
SISTER HART
oh wait:

ps my comp, sis b, hasnt seen MEET THE ROBINSONS! i died a lil inside. then again she has'nt seen tons of movies or read books because her mom had to watch or read it before she did... MOM&DAD: THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH FOR NOT DOING THAT TO US! you are amazing parents. even if we are idiot children.;)(#nevergetsold)
now time to say bye!

It's Practically Here!

thats all i have been quoting these past few weeks... the the the THE GRINCH!
anyway so headsup. i cant sing at midnight(have to be in bed by 10:30) so i will sing at 10. means youll have to do it at 8 if you want to do it at the same time. Next on the agenda. SKYPING.
#1: I will be at the Malaussena's house at 10am for brunch. we will be skyping there and so i will give you a lil(very brief 30second) call to tell you to get on the computer... or just be online starting at 8 and wait for my phonecall... itll be closer to probably 10 your time once we finish eating and all that. #2: Please try your best not to cry. thatd be bomb. #3: tried to get it to be in the evening but this was the only member that offered their home for skyping so its this time or only a phonecall. so make it a goal to be happy for the REST of the day.
#4: know that i am happy to see you. BE READY;)

okay wellp this week was full of rad lil miracles. and gifts. the members are good to us. Well sister Judy gaines and Liesa Wilson are good to us. they gave us these cute little presents. love them. I feel totally at home with these members. so for the miracle sister sunderhaus(ginger who is ultra hilarious) gave us a referral for her neighbor who is totally down to learn and even came to church on sunday and said this was what God has in store for her...Prepared much? YES! her name is crystelle and she is from france. so sick~! yeah lots of good stuff going on.

sis b got loads of packages this week and her gma gave me $10 so nice of her! i got a great letter from gpa billy bob. SO INSPIRING! THANKS GRANDPA! just what i needed to hear. he always manages to do that.
OOOH we had mission devo for christmas! It was so RAD! p. Berry is the bomb! It was a musical devo and a load of missionaries performed. sometimes i wish that i was a little more musically inclined but hey it was great to "glorify heavenly father" through the talents of others. P.Berry also told us that we would be going to ......

pause for effect.....

THE TEMPLE! twice a year! YAY! I am so excited! We will get to go in january and july during special missionary sessions! SO SICK! SO MUCH SPIRIT ITS TOO MUCH TO HANDLE!

okay other side note. sister michele bates took us to our temple tour and let us get YOGURTLAND afterwards! YES there is yoland in flo-orlo and YES i am so pleased!

OH yesterday our member was driving us to dinner and the song "line upon line" came on. i just heard mom and dad singing it as we were on our way to church down the canyon listening to soft sunday sounds... FM 100.3! yes. okay wellp thats folks. merry christmas ya filthy animals. see ya on CHRISTMAS DAY! soul cake a soul cake. star of wonder star of light star of royal beauty bright. oh hanakah. OH MARTHA OH CHRISTMAS! gah. okay ill stop. okay but first rando fact. i have forgotten like all the fgood friends quotes... sad day. clearly not something the lord will bring to my remembrance. okay wellp . hasta manana! well sorta
love ya loads and loads. just like light house lion and his lentils.

HOLLA AT YO SISTA IM 20

yes, i am now 20 years old. ultra exciting i know. you can see the various photos i sent to mom of how i celebrated my birthday. i got the shoes friday and have been so happy. the package from the sibs was great! thanks loads. i loved all of it. i also got myself a shirt from walmart that has the griswald family christmas tree on it. i wear it like erry night. its da bomb.

Okay so this week was awkward. we were super diligent but numbers didnt show(classic) BUT it was just weird. but a lot of good things happened. like we got a new gator, heather who is friends with some members of our ward so we are excited to see where this goes. But we also lost a gator... Tracy(47yrold single woman going on 17 in personality) couldnt give up drinking at christmas time soo she is not going to be in our teaching pool anymore.

We went on exchanges this week and I went to Goldenrod. it is there that I talked with SOOO many homeless people. I feel that anyone who is in such a situation (or one similar) has some HUGE back story that they feel OBLIGATED to tell anyone who shows interest. so that was actually ultra fun and just a good time. i love talking to people. it s so great.

OOOH yesterday we got to go to a stake choirside where they sang selections from Handel's Messiah! OH MY AMAZING! I LOVED IT! i seriously was just sooo happy that i got to go! the spirit was so strong and it was just so beautiful! especially when they sang for unto us a child is born. BEST SONG EVER!
I love the SAVIOR! i have been really focusing on him this time of year - between his Birth and his atonement there is just so much to reflect on. He did so much for us. and there is nothing we can do to repay him - -but strive to be obedient to His council and commandments. It is by doing that that he is pleased with us and pours out all his blessings from above and encircles us in the arms of his love. listen to this: http://www.lds.org/media-library/video/2012-12-1270-mission-preparation-track-23-jeffrey-r-holland?category=seminary-and-institute/institute

*OPTIONAL:with this in the background cause it adds some ambiance. * http://www.mormonchannel.org/christmas-videos?v=2008190983001
I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVES! what comfort this SWEET sentence gives. it truly brings comfort. what will you give the savior this christmas?

I love you all so much! thanks for the emails love prayers and support! i love you alll and miss you loads at this time of year. but i know i am doing a good thing and have to finish stronger than i started! youre all great examples to me.
 love you!

Really Michael Vick?

second subject: 6. where has the time gone.

GAH! 20 WHAT? yes. i do turn 20 this week. rad!
no more teen bi'ness. im a 20year old.
yeah so here is a haiku that could possibly sum up my week:
serving in longwood
lots of little miracles
the church is so true

okay so this week went by slowly. probs because i didn't switch comps or areas and this is what it felt like after my first 6 weeks. weird to think i have been out for 6 months. ultra cray. and to think that i only have a year left... i am not ready. i hope that i get this whole missionary thing down before i go home. geez.

lets see; so this week we saw lots of little miracles like meeting people and reaching our goal of 3 solid potentials, and tracy, our 47yrold going on 17, came to church finally! i love it! it was good. i am so hopeful for all that has happened.

also we had a great rs party with treats and service. so good. we had members invite us to their Christmas eve and Christmas dinners. i am so excited for that. so many great things. and i am so excited for this holiday season because already people are a lot warmer to seeing us. its DAH BOMB!

also rando but this morning my comp and i were talking about good looking bball players(she likes michael jordan, karl marlone, etc) and we started talkin about kobe bryant and i quoted daniel tosh and DIED LAUGHING> man i am just too funny sometimes#humble #workingonthatchristlikeattribute #pmg120

also i have been studying patience this week! I love it! I have been able to grow so much in this christlike attribute (PMG120) and hope to be able to continue to grow! also i read a great talk by elder holland - http://www.lds.org/ensign/1977/12/maybe-christmas-doesnt-come-from-a-store SO GOOD! I read that along with Luke 2 and Luke 22, from his birth to his atonement. 2 of the greatest gifts. 1 him coming to earth. and 2 his atonement! what a blessing that is! also while reading i noticed that it says that he had an angel with him in the garden to give him strength. I was pondering this a lot and noticed that at any time we are going through a trial the lord will not let us go through it alone. Either we physically have someone by our side or his angels are bearing us up. look at mary she did it alone - but had joseph by herside. in E. Dyches talk "wilt thou be made whole?" he says "Be assured the Savior still seeks to mend our souls and heal our hearts. He waits at the door and knocks. Let us answer by beginning again to pray, repent, forgive, and forget. Let us love God and serve our neighbor and stand in holy places with a life made clean. The impotent man at the pool of Bethesda, the leper along the journey to Jerusalem, and Corrie ten Boom were made whole. “Wilt thou be made whole?” Rise and walk. His “grace is sufficient” (2 Corinthians 12:9), and you will not walk alone." We dont ever walk alone. I have come to know that SO much more since i have been out. he will never let us go through ANYTHING alone. i am grateful for that. may we all remember HIM this Christmas season and be able to use and share these gifts he has given us.

i am so grateful all that you do for me!

i love you all so much! sister zoë hart

ps ill be on fb real soon. pss thomas thanks for the updates. you are the best writer. keep up the good work. psss cec you are looking good. youre freakin skinny - jealous. IM GRATEFUL FO DAT!

Wellp! Transfers are here and I am staying in LONGWOODYWOOD! the way that transfers work now is PBerry sends an email to the ZLs on saturday with a list of everyone in their zone who is getting transferred so that night they call everyone telling them whether they are leaving or not, if they are leaving then they find out if they train or not by what time they have to be at Wetherbee chapel. Then at 10:30 on transfer tuesday, the missionaries and Pberry meet together for the departing missionaries testimonies and Pberry's words, a hymn, prayer and lunch. Then he announces who is with you and you go on your way. pretty rad! OH man happy latesgiving! What a great day that was! We (the 4 missionaries) went to the Hansen's house with everyone else in the ward who doesnt have family in Florida...basically everyone! It was awesome! And there was a bounce house...after talking it out with the ZLs(ashby and vance who we share the ward with) we decided it was a must that the missionaries do it - nbd! I bounced that house down! (i was also wearing bike shorts so no worries) It was great! I was sad I didnt get my cranberry jalepeno salsa to go on my turkey and yummy pie and pumpkin bundt cake but i lived and it was good. Also this week our GOTO mm(mormon message) for our members was : "In the Spirit of Thanksgiving" http://www.mormonchannel.org/video/mormon-messages?v=911161818001 Watch it and go to 1:10 and laugh with me! THAT IS MY FAVORITE GUY! LUNCH AND BREAFAST AND DINNER-IM GRATEFUL FO THAT. hahaha! I laugh everytime! OH DAD! I ate dinner at a members house who was baptized in Haiti in 1988 - Oriole Atus! he says that you may have served in the other branch when they were investigating and is wondering if you ever played piano or music while you were down there... he thinks he knows who you are! lemme know. okay birthday wise-since thomas asked me-(also thomas YOU are the most diligent and religious emailer, its great. lil update, lil uplifting, lil bit of errythang-love it) so you want to know what i need: -fine point scripture safe marking pens(.3mm 0r smaller) I have staedler trisomething kind now and they are "non dryout" but they are starting to dry out so i kinda want to try another brand. any ideas? -toms(told mom-grey or the greyish lineny color or just something that goes with everything! literally!) -envelopes(cool kind if possible-like colored or something) -voice recorder -uh thats all i could really think of. but i am down for whatever- i am in Longwood so we have H&M and such so gift card be chill too. wellp OH! I cant believe i forgot. so FOM IS ONLINE! I WILL BE USING MY FB IN JANUARY SO WATCH OUT ILL BE ONLINE PROSELYTING! so i am excited. i have to clean out and hide things according to the guidelines they give us down here so my page is safe as a rep of JC Himself. but i will get to do that in january so dont try to get a head start for me. also it will be for missionary work STRICTLY. so xanxan you cant chat with me when you see i am online. or you can and i just cant respond. which is fine. i am way stoked because people are finally going to be taught who cuoldnt be. also if i needed a member present lesson and one of you were on fb i could skype you into the lesson - sick right?! yes. THANKS for all ytou do! I was so thankful for all you this week! Thanks for the package dad! I got it and loved it! also here is my apt address so if yuo want to ups or fedex something you can 532 Sabal Lake Dr. #202 Longwood,FL 32779 (address for the next 5 weeks) so this morning i read from mosiah 28(read it even just 28:1-9) and i just couldnt help but think of how crazy it is that i am doing the same thing they did and that i have been out here for a whole 6 months doing it! NOT REAL LIFE! IT IS GOING WAY TOO FAST! AHHHH! I LOVE IT! i love you all! thanks for the love and support and the LETTERS! peace!LOVE sisterzoë HART

HAPPY THANKSGIVING PRISONERS

OH MAN! I am in the library LAUGHING MY EYES OUT because of that subject line. MAN Xanxan you are hilarious! Hello what have we here? (my comp loves starwars and so i conveniently quote many quotes that she does not think are that funny... but i laugh hysterically.... oh the whoas of being hilarious;)) So this week was CRAY! So monday was pday. classic Tuesday: We did service for sister huyck who is ADORABLE! And loves star wars! She went to some Star Wars convention down here and dressed all her kids up in cute costumes - totally adorable! Her husband is less active and sorta no longer believes from what i have gathered - ultra sad(anyone who feels like someone close to them is LA read the talk "Claim the Blessings of your Covenants" http://www.lds.org/broadcasts/article/general-relief-society-meeting/2013/09/claim-the-blessings-of-your-covenants?lang=eng&query=covenant+keeping ) its good. Then we finally met this Potential gator who really is just a woman who is SO willing to do anything for the missionaries! Her name is Shirley Zusi and she is friends with the Roberts in Sandy(thinks we should know them - who ever they are they left a great impression) She is so rad and I hope we can get closer to teaching her! Then right before dinner we knocked 1 door and got a potential! IT WAS A MIRACLE! we also were invited to just share a thought with a member fmaily - that is the best! When members just allow us to do what we know what to do - teach. No need to ALWAYS feed us - although we do appreciate being fed LOADS! We just want to teach! Fill the missionaries time with Teaching! THATS WHAT WE ARE TRAINED TO DO! Then WEd: we had a great dm about asking Qs. I am horrible at asking Qs to people so I am working on that. If anyone has any tips... HIT ME UP! Then we had cleaning checks... unfortunately we thought the senior comps were coming earlier than they did(other mishs apt were disasters apparently) so we did lots of inside stuff...boo. but it was a gross day also so no one was really out and about. OH and when the Senior comp The Gordons were leaving they told me that they talked to sister Parker and she told them that DORA and her SONS (logan and ashton) WERE GETTING BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY! THEY ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH! aAHHHHHHH! I ALMOST STARTED CRYING! IAMSTILLJUSTSOFREAKINGHAPPYABOUTALLOFIT! i LOVE DORA AIPA! (note: this letter is going to be much longer thansome... i guess i really wanted to talk today) Thursday was chilll....not remembering much of what went on... rained. that was cool Friday was chill too... SATURDAY was exchanges which were BOMBING! I was with sister Dunford in Longwood and we LAUGHED THE WHOLE TIME! apparently everyone wants to exchange with me so they can know what it is like to be my comp...#humble #boasting #repentingnow It probably isnt a good thing but the STL and i had a great time and i learned so much! She told me that she truly thought I was a great missionary - That made me so happy because I have been feeling like I am not great and really been beating myself up about my missionary efforts. But when she said that I was so happy! Then to make it even better i was studying the priesthood sesh talk by pres Uchtdorf(what a homie) "You CAN DO IT NOW!" and he said something that i absolutely LOVED! "Our destiny is not determined by the number of times we stumble but by the number of times we rise up, dust ourselves off, and move forward" GOLDEN right there! It totally pumped me up! I just want to keep going! I am just going to GINGER IT UP down here! ORLANDO isnt going to know what hit them!!! On a more serious note: it is amazing how the Lord reaches out to help you through so many different means; whether it be a letter, the words of the prophets, or a comforting feeling - He is always reaching out to you! I am so grateful for that!~ At this time I would just like to express my gratitude for all of you and all you have done to help me get to where I am today! YOU ARE THE WORLDS GREATEST!(now listen to that song and think of me) I would also like to express my gratitude for my Father in Heaven! I am so grateful that He loves us so much and sent HIS son to die for us so that we might live with him again! What a blessing that IS! HE LIVES! I know it and i love it! I love this chance that I have to help gods children draw closer to live with him someday. I love all of you! t-1 month till i see your faces. love you lots love the work and love the lord. sister ZOE HART

PRAISES

Wellp. This week I found myself coming upon many moments and situations when I was grateful for the lessons that the one and only Paula Hart taught me. MOM: you are one amazing woman. Seriously. Throughout my life I can look back and accredit many of the attributes I have, or learned to have, to you. You taught me to be respectful, to be confident in myself - with talents, words, actions, and LOOKS- to be polite and to have proper etiquette, and SOO many other things. i found this week that there are mothers who tell their daughters that the only way to look "okay" is to wear LOTS of makeup and to tan and to make sure that you only eat xyz to stay below that ultra ridiculous weight... THANK YOU for not doing that to me. Thank you for teaching me that I am perfect the way I am and for being an example of that to me. Unfortunately my companion was not so lucky and I cannot comprehend. Thank you for giving me SOOOOOOO MUCH SELF CONFIDENCE! sometimes it may be too much but hey-better to have a little more than none at all! ;) So thanks mom. Thanks for being the BEST MOM EVER!!("Ill call you BM for short";)) haha - hilarious! So here is the scoop of the week. sorry last weeks letter was short- we had district Pday at this huge LAs property in my area with a river and the largest cypress tree in florida and she also has the awapuhi plant that paul mitchell uses in their awapuhi line...rad right? its all natural from right here in ORFLO. so the district played games and roasted mallows and had a jolly ole time! While i was perusing the surroundings and checckiing out the fish in the river E. Duffy and E. Weston came over to see what I was doing and they leaned forward as if they were going to try to push me and me being silly me, moved my foot down the shore to avoid getting "too close" to the elders...wellp florida is all sand so that lil step resulting in my FALLING into the GROSS river! EWE! I tried to grab the tree-but there was no luck. I was in the sludgey water... I tried to get out and eventually was offered a hand from E Duffy and was literally soaked head to toe. it was ridiculous.. the worst is that i didnt even get pushed... i just literally fell... gah. Side note. being fully immersed in water for the first time in 5 months...pretty bizarre feeling. OOO then on saturday we got to volunteer for this Families in Transition service project where we guided these homeless families through different booths to obtain and sign up for different free services to help them out. It was sooo cool- but it also made me think of Dora and her family. While there all the missionaries were apparently talking to my comp about me - asking what it was like to be my cmop, how funny it would be, how crazy i am, etc etc. Literally everyone said that they were talking about me.... gah. thats just silly. why. oh well. Then on sunday we were asked to bear our testimonies(all 4 missionaries) in sacrament meeting, it was ultra great because we all testified of sort of different things but it all tied together - especially mine and E Ashbys because he quoted me. then last speaker tied most of our testimonies in and quopted them. after the meetring our ward mission leader, bro Bates, said i was the sacrament MVP. Ha! it was hilarious! I love having the opportunity to bear my testimony to members! It is just soo cool! (says the girl who never bore her testimony in her own ward save maybe two times) its the best! oh other side note: I have found that i have a couple of secret lovers... dont worry everyone it is nothing serious. One of them held my hand and told me they loved me and the other held my hand and kissed me... not to fear im still obedient because they were only birds... yes yes they were cockatoos named baby and cassie...yep. chris brown aughta write a song that instead of saying ladies love me says birdies love me - cause birds be lovin me. oh random but the mission wants all christmas packages sent by dec 10 so they get here no later than the 17th. so heads up on that. welp i love you all dont forget to be thankful! watch this. http://www.lds.org/media-library/video/2009-11-39-in-the-spirit-of-thanksgiving?category=topics/gratitude its good. do work i love you loads like seriously loads. t-1month till skype time;) cray love you zoë

flop

so sister buxton totally flopped off her bike this week because a home parade flag flopped her and she flopped off... a lil road rash on her hand...very small.. and she is fine. it was actually hilarious but i sincerely tried not to laugh... how could i not though because it was soo funny. HOW MANy people fall from a flag blowing in the wind? haha. and she looked like the doll from the original Gatsby movie that they use when whats her face gets hit by the car... just layed on the floor limp... i held my laugh and helped obvi but still giggled. other than that nothing too crazy happened this week. Most of the "work" is slow. LOTS of tracting. like loads. back to the good ole days of st cloud. the bonus of longwood is that MOST everyone is ultra nice. so not really any haters. but haters gon hate. tomatoes gon tomate and aliigators gon alligate. we ran into a few racist people this week whicvh was really annoying... floridians... aka florida krackers(thats what they call themselves-im just quoting them) hmm OH GEEZ - this is for cec and xan! Okay so everytime something creepy, weird, funny, awkward, WHATEVER, happens my comp always says "This will make a great memory sister" and everytime she says that ALLL i can think of is Daniel Tosh's Happy THoughts when he talks about the pranks he does with his sister..."OH DANIEL" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH literally dying of laughter when i first heard her say it.... she has no idea what i was talking abbout... proabably a good thing. Also I got the word for the internet pros... so stoked. FB and IPAD here i come. also here are some bombing mormon messages. "wrong roads" Until we meet again. and the daily breads - dad you were right those are GREAT! Hey so its actually chilly down here. weird i know. uh sorry this is random. i have been alll over the place today. i may be sending you more emails later tooday because my time is cut inhalf for pdayl. sooo i will talk more later. FYI I know this is what i need to be doing at this time in this plavce and i am so grateful for this chance that i have to serve the lord and become accquainted with my SAvior! LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU ALL! i miss you! feel frewe to send a family photo.... i cute the last one..oops. loves loves loves makes the world go round. zoë HART

cinco. 5. se. FIVE!

okay so can anyone believe that i have been out here for 5 MONTHS NOW? CRAZY! Its going too fast! like seriously. I love it way too much. so i decided to put some facts and figures into the idea machine and found these fun facts: -I am on my mission for approx. 547 days....zoë's 500 days of summer, because it is literally an endless summer down here -i study for 2 hours every morning... adding up to a grand total of 1094 hours(ish) by the end. That makes me 1/10 of the way to being a professional at the gospel;) That's it/ It is great here in Longwood. People are nice. Lots of apts. There are BEARS here...i havent seen one but they are apparently ALL OVER DA PLACE. okay also its finally nice outside. i love it. REAL fall weather... well like california fall.. no humidity(welll loads less atleast) Its the BOMB! The only downside is that I GOT A COLD. IT IS THE WORST! but the upside is that our apt manager, barb, gives us tea all the time(celestial tea too) Dad go get Celestial's Roastarama tea... its good! My new fave! I got a thermos mug thing to take on the go in the car and what not. so feel free to send tea or cider or hot Co or cold remedies if that tickles your fancy;) MY COMP is so little and cute... But she is one of those that sets up for christmas after halloween.... ITS NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING YET!!!! at least wait until the middle of november.. you havce to give people some time to put away the halloween stuff. then you can start that. BUt thats how a lot of people in florida are. its funny. Uhm. oh yes. I went to the ER on saturday night. NBD. My comp started coughing way hard after this BRILL LA lesson, then she threw up, then she started wheezing, and then got a blessing, then went to the er... i had to be one of THOSE people who has to wear a mask because of my cold... pictures are coming. it was hilarious. She has bronchitis and allergies. so all is well now that she is on her antibiotics. Okay also this week I was watching some of the new bible story videos on lds.org and i watched the one called "Suffer the children to come unto me" or something. WATCH IT! and if you look at the father like figure behind christ in the first 47s you may recognize someone... then if you jump to 1:23 youll recognize who it is! JAKE HASLER! with his beard hahaha! what a funny kid. I was way stoked to see his face though! Its really nice to see a familiar face every now and then. I cannot wait to see your faces in 1 month. The way the lord works is pretty crazy and ultra miraculous. i love the lord. I love all that he has done for us and am so grateful so the chance that i have to come closer to him. Ive been reading about samuel the lamanite in Helaman 14 and 15, What amazing chapters! 15 is my favorite. It tells you about how people become converted to the gospel, the blessings that come from being converted and the reason why the Lord chastizes us. It is all out of love! I love the lord. I love this work. I am so grateful for faith and for the chances we get to exercise that faith. To take that step into the dark room, only to have the light follow us in. It is all about making that step. We cannot expect to have the light turn on without flipping the switch. It is after we are in the room that the light can turn on. not before. I am thankful for the CHANCES i am given daily to exercise that faith. I am also SOOO thankful for repentance because sometimes i may not take advantage of those CHANCES to act upon my faith and build that trust with the Lord and it is then that I know i can repent and continue to draw nearer unto him. The work here in Orlando continues. It isnt easy but i am forever thankful for the forces of support, love and prayer that are coming at me from home. You're all the greatest! I LOVE YOU ALL SO PIPILO MUCH! (Pipilo means stink in samoan... so stinkin is what i meant but thats what you would say.) YOURE THE BOMBS.COMS Send some photos and recipes. the family go to recipes if you dont mind. my comps all have no idea what delicious food is because most of their lives they were fed food out of boxes.... ive been blessed to have a DAD who knows how to OWN IT in the kitchen and a MOM who can bake the BEST breads, just like bear;) (alphabet soup anyone;)) wellp. cool i love you sister zoë HART

shmmmmaaaaaaaaang

yes./ i got some shmaaang on my shirt and my shoe... darn. Okay first things first. Welcome to the email Thomas mah boy. Figured since youre the finace you ought to be in the fam email. GAH THAT IS SO EXCITED!!!!! I always dreamed of planning the first wedding in the family with the sisters and doing all that what not like they do in WEdding Singer( cmon i watched that a TON as a child...#90skid) that was seriously what i imagined it would be like though.. so ENJOY ALL THAT FOR ME- i know ill enjoy it from afar haha. Next on the agenda: Dad do you know a sister Ramierez that served in Haiti? well what years did you serve? i am coming upon more haitians now and would love to be able to connect with them through you! holla at me./ Also did you know Lance and Mike Reese from Idaho Falls? There are a few people down here that have grown up there and lets be real you had to atleast know of them. They said they knew of a doug hart that played bball and went on to play it at Ricks(weird) so letme know. Thirdsies: I make a lot of food in this new apt. sooo could you possible send my little blue recipe notecard book and have everyone(dad!) put some GOTOs in there. I know my chocochip recipe is in there but i need pancakes, seom yummy pinterest desserts and what not. HOOK A SISTER UP! I need to EAT! Finally: weekly update. I really am not a fan of this: tell brig to send out a film crew and you can all just watch what happens...i promise you would LAUGH! its always a good time! Okay so this week was a lot of getting adjusted. No polys feeding us and hardly any member meals - that was quite the adjustment by itself. BUT I LOVE IT OUT HERE.. I miss my polys though.... But thats okay. errything is going good. the new comp is sister Buxton from sandy UT(she went to alta) and she is 5'1''(i think - well just short and petite...103lbs to be exact) and was a gymnast and did ballroom...she has a definite short girl personality(oh make fun of my height and i will throw you down) its fun haha! Sometimes at night she will show me some ballroom moves and All i can think of is working at the grove and Brock and I trying to do some tango moves and just laughing...its pretty great! So she just finished her first 12 weeks. cool. She has been pretty nervous because she has to lead out the area.. but is handling it well. She loves gators and tracting so we will be just fine - i just have to help her love her Less Actives and work with the members too... i can most definitely do that. Uh my district has all of my previous District leaders(menos elder lee) so AShby Vance and Weston.l... its a good time at district meetings to say the very least- although the other sisters may not have been the biggest fan of how many of the elders i knew but whateves. FACT: longwood has the most hills in Florida... CRAY!(not sure if that is a real fact but i think it is) makes for a good ride. This weekend and yesterday was spent mostly with Elder Walker of the 70. he was at the Orlando stakes stake conf. and we got to go to all the sessions. He is HILARIOUS! and said many great things that i wrot e down. here are just some highlights: 10 tips for members mish efforts - welcome people you dont know at church! -learn the names of the missionaries in your ward -pray for them by name -pray to have mish experiences -feed the missionaries! -invite them, to teach your family -offer fellowship for their gators and LAs -offer your home for them to teach gators in -dont be shy about sharing the gospel: its like a boat dealer not telling his neighbors about the good boats he sells, they probably think he isnt very devoted to that career. -offer to take the missionaries and their gators to the temple and tour the grounds with them. USE THOSE! DO THEM! find ways to share. this week i read brad wilcox byu speeches speech from 2011-2012 that talked about christ and his atonement. I cannot tell you how much i loved it. It brought me so much comfort and happiness. I have been getting sorta down and out about the work- not that i am discouraged but it was starting to become a going through the motions kind of thing. as i read that i felt the spirit and remembered why i came out and how thankful i am for the atonement of jesus christ and the opportunity we have to become better so that we can live with our father in heaven again! I also have re-evaluated my prayers and truly began to pour my heart out to the lord - it feels so good. i would invite you all to read that and do the same. I love the work - i know i say that a lot but i do. I get to tract in this area again and i cannot wait to relay the stories and many adventures that that finding activity brings. hahaha! side note. happy halloween. what is everyone being? give everyone my love. AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU! sister HART

time to BEYONCE

received from sister hart 10/21/2013

Wellp. This week we were at the Vaiaoga's house and Faina and Lani were watching an oprah show with Beyonce and she started singing and i just about died... it was crazy! i loved it.

So I have had a pretty good 6 weeks here in HCN. And now it is time for me to move on to Lake Mary - Longwood something. Its going to be great! I loved being out here but I love to move around. I am excited to see what great things happen while Im in this new area!

Alright so this week was the bomb! We did a bunch of exchanges-like We had to exchange for real exchanges which was bomb, then we had to exchange with some sisters whose companions were being prepped to train this next transfer. Cray! Hermana Jackson should be coming out and hermana monson and i are so stoked and really hope that she is her trainer!

Okay so i am loving this right now! I am way excited to get going on to new things! Not going to lie I will miss seeing the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott every day, and being with my poly family - BUT there are great things awaiting this lil ginger soo i best be moving on!

So here is an ultra cool experience i had this week: i was reading different stuff from the BOM and Doctrine and Covenants and I was pondering my prayers and things i was praying for and how i always forget something that i really wanted to pray for. So i prayed - I HAD THE COOLEST SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE! Like spiritual floooding of the soul! It was the best thing ever! So now i feel that my prayers are getting better - i mean a prayer is your own personal communication with God so it is always good, but it can always get better - you can always improve in the church. ALWAYS. I hope that i can continue to improve my prayers throughout my mission.

Uh side note: I love getting letters- thanks chrissy for sending the card and photos. ThANKS to all the fam who wrote within the last two weeks. you're all so great! I love you so much! I love this church and i love the opportunity I have to take a short time to give it my all and share it with others! The blessings that this gospel has to offer are eternal. I cannot wait to see what unfolds here in ORLANDO!

LOVE YOU LOTS! sister HART

ILITERALLY RAN INTO A WALL WHEN I READ THE EMAIL! WHY DIDNT ANYONE CALL SISTER CARLY REID!

I COULD HAVE FOUND OUT SOONER!

It's probably a good idea that you didn't because I would have gone crazy without seeing photos! I want the photo that Cecilly posted on fb. That is great! I love it and I am so happy for two of you!

Anyway here are some photos from the week! We did service for Brother Vaiaoga (my hcn family) and me throwing leaves and me trying to be cute with star confetti... epic fail.

Anywho--so this week was bombing! WE set a date with our investigator CELVICE! YES! FIRST ONE! Dora gets baptized this week! And then we ATE A TON! AH also we had stake conference and got to hear from Elder Soares ! He is the best! Also Ryan Munns (my stc north dad basically) was called as the new stake president! Cool right! uh this week has been great! Lots of wonderful things are happening and I just love it down here. I cannot believe it has been 4 months! time flies! I wish i had more to write but I cant think of anything.

Horrible i know. i always hated getting these letters from missionaries. wellp one thing i would invite you all to do is to read from alma 60:20-to the end. ask yourself if you are sitting idle and decide now to be a moroni! I love this gospel and the opportunity i have to continue to grow in the gospel! i love this! THANKS FOR ALL THE LETTERS to those of you who wrote... the rest of you. FEED YOUR MISSIONARIES! Become some missionaries family while they serve you. get to know them. let them serve you! Be someone else Vaea and Ime Vaiaoga for me! I love you all so much and i am so excited to hear about how things are going. let me know what you all are doing in church these days and how you are apply the counsel from gc to your lives.

ALRIGHT-ALRIGHT!

sent by sister hart 10/7/13

SLUG BUG RED! Yeah so my comp loves to punch so she decided we should start playing...little did she know that I take pride in workin my arms... so when she punched me I took the liberty of punching her as hard as I could like she asked... wellp now she just wants us to not hit as hard... then the other night she just came at me wanting to wrestle... little did she know that KARKAR and I used to practice leg wrestling and I prepped liza for mud wrestling in HS so when I pinned her she was like AHHHH IM OUT IM OUT! It was hilarious... but seriously don't mess with this ginger..

anywho.... so this last week was bueno! I got to invite some lady to church in spanish which was rad. I love speaking spanish. anywho. also this week we really tried to teach our progressin gators, Jasmine, Celvice, and Edwin. BUt NONE of them could meet with us. darn. But we had some great meetings with our members and with our less actives... well more with our members. Soo we did ALOT of biking and contacting... not a whole lot of people are interested so you have to almost ploy them into becoming gators. But the work goes on. One member we met with said that they were so thankful that we have been coming over. That was great!

I love the Vaiaoga family. They gave us Lava Lavas and now they have me sing while they play the ukulele/... I may come home with another one... not gonna lie. sorry.

also today is a day of morning... the jacks are dead. It was a major accident and there was no chance of survivors. I was really sad not going to lie, but i know they are in a better place and they are happier now.. thats just how it works. (my Jack Purcell sneakers)

SO general conference was DA BOMB! am i right?! But seriously it was so cool to be in the family history center watching it on 3 different macs with other missionaries. IT was the best! Seriously the counsel that was given was AMAZING! Obvi and truly inspired. I loved receiving answers to the questions that I had and the direct counsel to missionaries from Elder Ballard - we are definitely going to be talking to more people. wellp.

OH we talked to some drunks earlier this week and he was telling me that I needed to travel the world and how he knows that if he ever needed anything he could go to the mormons. cool. He was telling us how we are doing a good thing and what not. Get that erryday and the classic "god bless" people are great? haha!

Anywho sooo saaturday conference marked my 4 months out and to celebrate sister pierce almost ran into traffic on obt and face flopped on the sidewalk... HILARIOUS! ah man! oh i forgot! So there are a bunch of sign holders on OBT(I'm sure there is a youtube video of OBT) and we always bike past them so we stop and talk to them over and over just because they love to impart their "lessons of the day" with us. Its great. We talked with Cineca (dreadlocked ultra tan kid) and DaShawn (black girl who raps some sick beats) so we are talking with them and dashawn is telling us that she is going to be big like kanye. So we are telling some members about the work we had done that day (the vaiaogas) and Sister Pierce was like "yeah she is going to be the next Kane West.." WHAT? hahahahahaha! we were all dying and Sister Vaiaoga was like do you mean kanye hahahahaa! so funny.

Having a deaf comp is the besT! Forget about sometimes not being able to hear me she is awesome. LOVE HER! There is always something funny!

wellp thats all. I have really gained a testimony of the spirit that comes as we heed the prophets and apostles counsel. The Lord wants to give us blessings but we must do our part. It is a two way street. If you are not going forwards you are moving back. Choose NOW to keep moving forward! Make a change and stick with it, as you do the Lord will shower you with tender mercies, His Love, and blessings. I know this to be true!

LOVE YOU ALL!

YEAH I GOT MAH SWAG!

from Sister Hart 9/30/13

oh how you be my homies?! i hope all is well back in the cold state of UTAH! All is freaking HOT here in Florida! FREAKIN... but it keeps coolin off. Not a lot but a little.
So this week was FULL of miracles and youll just have to remember to ask me ALL that happened because i KNOW i wont be able to repllay ALL of it.

So here is the skinney: ERRYBODY out herrr be calling me skinney cause i aint got no meat on my bones - WHAT- but they dont know the heat i be packin till i bear my testimony like a homez. okay excuse the rap but i did bear my testimony this week and TOTALLY BUTCHERED it by saying that i love serving in the ST CLOUD WARD! picking favorites much? not at all hahaha! So that was cool.

My polys are a little shaky about where my hart truly is... but they still love me cause i eat like a beast! I pound down rice, chop sui, ribs, turkey, potatoes, salad and cake and ice cream like its my JOB! Don't mess with me. GET TO MY LEVEL SISTERS! Hahaha my comp may or may not have offended our go to poly family - the Vaiaoga's. But they were just kidding! I love them! They are teaching me how to REALLY play my uke and how to dance like im from the islands. RAD!

Okay so this week we did loads of work not a lot of contacting but we had the car this week so i loved being able to chill with my chevy tuned up like a nascar pitstop...I drive a chevy cruze... chill. My comp doesn't have her license so I get to be the driver - whats up. haha! Okay so the work. WE visited like every LA in the book... well tried but most of them had moved. so we met some members and got to meet with some of our Gators who became progressing which is awesome! Edwin, Jasmine, Celvice, and Kristina!  I have high hopes and faith in all of them that they will enter into the waters of baptism! So exciting!

As we visited with loads of LAs we invited them to heritage night which is basically the international night in the ward where everyone represents the country they are from... aka all of the missionaries in HC and Lake Nona had a small DP at the end with spanish and other pop music in the cultural hall! YES! I miss dancing but we have some great songs to jam to so thats always sublime! Also after when we were home I practiced my tahitian dancing...its a work in progress but "let me see that booty wurk" never saw Sista Hart wurk it like a tahitian. haha! #kiddingnotkidding Also some girl from egypt said it is cool to say Swerve instead of saying back off... mmmmkay. haha!

THEN it was the RS Conference! Uh can anyone say amazing?! That was the best! It made me so happy to finally be able to listen to the prophet and think THAT my fam back home was watching the same thing! YES! We (the missionaries) are all hoping that Sister Berry(presidents wife) lets us go to the temple after that. We shall see. Then we had special sunday school based on how to answer Qs that will come up because of the BOM musical. It was crazy because Edwin and his wife were there and they were asking ALLL these questions like what is the stance of race in the church and stuff - whoooooooooaaaaahl! crazy. Soo if you have any tips lemme know!

Also we got switched into the HC district because we were for some reason in a different district but now elder Weston is my DL and HE IS THE BEST! hahaha! Its like being with my boys from OHS all over again. SOO prime! Poor sister pierce is a little naive but no worries we are helping her along (nothing bad im a missionary everyone... cmon who do you think i am?) ;)

Heres what he has to say to you: hey waz good bezz believe this is Shmelder Weston from the west reppin it in the 321...... you done got a wheem daughter doin work over here peace love!!!!!

Wellp. babes. I love you all. I am so excited to hear GC this weekend. It was a year ago that my plans were changed for the better! I would like to share that experience again. Ever since sophomore year seminary with Heaston and White I have always gone into GC with a prayerful question(s) so last year it was only natural for me to do the same. I had been racked with what i should do for the up coming year - what major, what classes, what job, what internships, date boys seriously(never), what should i do? so i asked. a little vague of a Q - usually im a little more specific , because if you are specific the lord is specific - but i still asked. It was racking my mind - i imagine the feeling being similar to that of Joseph Smiths. "My mind was called up to great uneainess but though my feelings were deep and often poignant still i kept myself aloof." JSH 1:8 I asked. and sure enough, as He always does, the lord pulled through with an answer. And look where it brought me. With that i would invite all of you to do the same. go into GC with a prayerfully thought out Q and listen to the impressions of the spirit. I know that you will receive answers-maybe not to the q you thought but answers none the less. He will give you what you need at this time. I love you always forever. near and far - closer together/(NEVER KNEW WHAT SHE SAYS THERE;)) make GC a PRIORITY!

love sista zoë "white chocolate" hart

.........

received from Sister Hart on 9/23/2013

...
...
...
Oh sorry I was speaking sign language..... lo siento porfavor. Yeah so now i know some sign and building up my spanish... and sister carly reid wishes that the emails would be updated. but nbd. So this week was full of adventures! LOTS of LAUGHTER! it was DA best! okay so for starters we had this rad lesson of the restoration with these two gators that we have been trying to meet with. IT was great! we will say what happens with them-we were waay stoked - well i was because I LOVE THE STORY OF THE RESTORATION! CAll me a church history buff but i love it! I wish i knew more.. I wish i could take sister easton-blacks knowledge and download it into my mind...thatd be rad! I love it sooo much! Jose smith por todos los dias(jospeh smith for dayz!) Okay so the adenture time of the week... At the beginning my comp told me that sometimes she clogs the toilet......okay good to know. Well this week i witnessed the clog and she COULDNT unclog it. So we left it and went to teach some peeps. Then! We returned home and i HAD TO GO - like WAY bad, because i drink like 20 bujillion bottles of water a day - so i go into the bathroom and she was like i think it is still clogged because there was no water in the toilet so we flushed and low and behold it almost overflowed...so i was dying laughing and still REARRY had to go so she suggested i go in the tub - DIDNT have to ask me twice. next thing i knew i was cleaning the tub.... yep that just happened.
THEN.
we were visiting some Less Actives and it was a FREAKIN hot day-nothing new but it felt 50,000 degrees- so sister pierce was getting a little tired and not so motivated, so i told her that if she kept going we could go to twistee treat (ice cream place thats pretty good on OBT-Orange Blossom Trail-like a mile from my Venue Apartments) She quickly perked up and kicked it into high gear. Like bribing Brucie with chocolate cake. HA! it was hilarious. I loved it. She is SOO funny. We have so much fun! Like it is the best - I gave her fair warning though that I have a very dominant personality so sometimes i just have to take control... sorry not sorry. I am not that bad haha! But she is ultra chill because she is more amiable and expressive -- its the best. THEN! We were on our way to some appointment to get some papers from the elders and i had to go to the bathroom AGAIN! as ussse. IT was like 8:30 and we were by no ones home and the one house we were by sister pierce couldn't remember which one it was sooo we just kept going. I couldn't wait so next thing I saw was a ball field and I YELLED to sister pierce. Then I veered to the left, watching for traffic of course, and I may or may not have "gone" in a random fenceline of the baseball diamond....I really had to go. Lesson learned: I ask to use their bathroom before we leave peoples' homes during bike week.

Now time for some SHOUTOUTS! Joe and SHA! YOU ARE THE BEST! Thanks for the package! The GPS saved our lives! We are now able to find out if some LAs still live in our area or not. And all the notes from the kids! The BEST! Billy bob and Honey! Loved the letters and all! It made my day! I love hearing from you both and hearing your wonderful words of wisdom! GG hart, great email. Sorry I never respond. I like them. Uh everyone else. Wish you'd write me. I know for a fact that a lot of fam are reading this and so consider this a chastisement;) just kidding -- life is going on so i know that its busy. I love you all! Happy birthday to all the cousins and of course Xanxan and Scoops. Hope its da best! LOVE YOU! AND LOVE THE WORK AND THE LORD!!! zoë HART

WHAT?

received from Sister Hart 9/16/2013

Uh so i am now in Hunters Creek in Carly Reid's ward - same stake as St. Cloud- Its great! BUT for the record: My HART will FOREVER be in STC NORTH! Shout Outs to my HOME WARD IN FLORIDA!!!! (I know i shouldnt pick favorites but if you served there you would feel the same-trust me-there is just something about people with no teeth and no clothes that just gets to you;)) HAHAHA! Okay so this week I transferred and arrived in Hunters Creek - my Senior Comp, sister Pierce, who came out with me... Ya know I thought I wasnt as prepared as I could have been after training but MY trainer and I learned and became SOO prepared! I got into the area with a very unorganized area book and NO GPS! AHHH! (i realized how much i enjoy and thrive if i am atleast in an organized chaos!keyword:OrGANIZED) And my comp can't drive so she doesnt know where exactly things are....its always an adventure! Ex: Sister Pierce:'turn right at this street." me: OK turn down street sp: 'oh no no maybe its the next left' Me: OK..... Its SOO FUN! Then first day with her I saw her signing with some other missionaries - then she tells me she is hard of hearing and that i have to learn some sASL.... AH! but cool call me trilingual. She always has to say what because i like to whisper too(hence the subject line) PS i use my spanish like ERRYDAY HERE! My comp makes fun of me because when I speak spanish I use different tones of voices and she laughs because sometimes i sound flirty. Its ridiculous. A little discouraging at times but i told her so now it isnt as bad but comp inventory is always a good time with me;) haha! She is great because she connects VERY well with pre-teens and teenagers. Which is always good. I am trying to think of someone she is like but I cant. so OH WAIT I KNOW! OKay think of the SNL with the kristen wiig character who says "i can grow a beard in 5secs, just kidding just kidding," Thats who she is haha! It is hilarious! But she just loves LOVES LOVES to kid around with literally EVERYONE. WE saw tons of miracles this week and now are in the process of just figuriing out lessons and what not. I love it! And we talk to SOO MANY PEOPLE IN A DAY! and we are REAL close to the mission office to get packages and stuff and now they are saying we can go eat lunch with them - well they told me that but i am not sure- I love it! My members are awesome family! My goto family right now are the Orantes! They are the best! And they are always wanting me to improve my spanish! YES! everyone is either latin, or poly or theres like 2 caucasian families in this ward. Its dah best! Random but some guy I contacted into said he just wanted to be baptized... unfortunately he didnt live in our area so he got referred but still COOL! there is always something wonderful going on! This week I studied in Alma and It is when he is talking about the Lords work - 29:13-15! It is what is going to happen when my mission buddies and i get into heaven and I get to see everyone that they have brought into the fold! HOW GREAT WILL BE MY JOY! but seriously! I have been praying and thinking about all of my friends that are out and being out has really helped me come to the REAL realization that i have been blessed with wonderful friends who are all out serving missions-doing the exact same thing as me - and that i have their influence and support in what i am doing. And throughout my whole life. I am so excited to see what fruits their labors will bring forth! WE are a peculiar people and this work is hastening even more because of it! I am so thankful for the wonderful support that i receive from my family and friends! thanks for everything seriously! I would invite you to begin now to prepare any questions or concerns that you would like answered and resolved for general Conference - Because it is a year ago at this time that I entered GC with a question and I received my answer. Look where it took me. As you prayerfully go into General Conference with those questions/concersn, and an open mind and heart, YOU WILL receive an answer. As a representative of Jesus Christ I promise that to you. Your answer may not come the way you planned or for what you planned but it will come. The Lord loves us and wants to help us. All we must do is turn to him and ASK. I know you can receive the same kind of guidance and comfort I have received here in the FOM. I LOVE YOU ALL! Peace and an abundance of BLESSINGS Sister Hart!

Transfer and a Baptism

received from Sister Hart 9/9/2013

yeah so to start off I am getting transferred to Hunters Creek... I am leaving St Cloud and ALL of its goodness!!!!! GAH! I am just getting transferred to a new area with a new companion and I am way sad but also ultra excited because it means different experiences for this ginger. "new school, new baby pool" as I like to say. ultra stoked to get a feel for what different areas are like, because sister P and I have decided that St. Cloud has the worst parts of everyone elses areas. HA! sad but true. ,makes for a good time though haha! Also last Saturday I forgot to tell you we had a BAPTISM!!! Yeah didn't see that coming did ya? Ha. That's because it wasn't ours. It was the elders in our ward. STILL I WAS PROBABLY MOR EEXCITED THAN ANYONE ELSE THERE!!!! I LOVE BAPTISMS! It was an amazing experience and I asked to bear a quick testimony while we waited for the elders and new member to come back from the font. While I was bearing my testimony the spirit just testified to me of the reason why I came out. I want soo badly for EVERYONE to have these same blessings I have - to know that because of the plan of salvation and the love our heavenly father has for us by sending us his Son to atone for our sins, our families can be together FOREVER! I am missing some pretty big events that will be in making for the next few months(only one in particular) and I am ultra sad I am missing it. BUT I also know that because I can be with my family FOREVER I am not missing a whole lot of anything at all-because I am doing the lords work. I know that blessings will pour out for those I am serving here and those who are supporting me back home because of my decision to come out and I am soo grateful that they will be blessed. I love it. I have a favor to ask of everyone who reads this. Tell me your conversion story - what brought you back to the church if you became less active- when were you truly converted to gospel? if you haven't been yet what are you waiting for. I love working with less actives to figure out how they can receive the FULLEST of blessings again because they are denying themselves the abundance of blessings they can receive by not attending church, so it helps to hear how others became converted and what keeps people active. This week we had ZTM which is always good. and a trainers mtg which meant I went on exchanges - it was great because I got to be in Windermere-aka the richest part of the mission-right across from ALL the parks-yes I was tempted. It was really cool to talk to soo many people and tract in an apartment complex. CRAZY! I knocked on this one door and my exchange comp sister Nielsen said her shpeel and the woman said -'no hable ingles. espanol.' so I said oh "somos los missionarios de la iglesia de.... just told her who we were in Spanish and then she was like oh uh 'I have no time' so we just shared a card but her English was great. some peoples kids. they make up the funniest excuses not to talk to us. it hilarious! anywho. wellp I have loved every minute in st cloud and cannot wait for the next set of adventures.! I love the work the lord and my savior. HE IS RISEN! love and prayers to you all! sister zoë hart

THE SACRIFICE

Received from sister hart on september 3, 2013.

oh yeah the mission brings loads of sacrifices - no phone, no family, no friends, and your time, and your talents, but it is all for an amazing reason - BECAUSE I LOVE THE LORD - even the goat did it.

HI! So this week was crazy! for starters I spent the start of the week in the dentists office... it was crazy - but I don't think I have ever met such a great dentist before... no offense to corbin - BUT this guy was AMAZING! I loved it and I was there for 3 days in a row so they said I could put it as my temporary home...(slightly kidding but sort of not hahaha)

After all that business the rest of our week was slow lesson wise.. like the slowest ever! But we still kept pushing on - my trainer said that this was going to be the week where I was a "trainer" so she would be the trainee... yeah it didn't turn out that way because she really likes being the lead comp so I just was the trainee again.... as usual. Its hard at times because sometimes she takes too much of the lead and in lessons she may get on a role and wont stop to give me 2 secs except for when I have to extend an invitation... it makes me feel like I am not good enough for HER sometimes... I know I am good enough for the Lord or I wouldn't be out here, but at times it makes me feel that she doesn't think I am... I've told her about it and she tries. So I thank her for that. Sorry for venting but it is kinda hard - especially because she kept saying "youll be training next transfer so be ready" well I feel like I need more time to get the hang of things before I show someone how to do things I have never done before. but we are working at it and when we have that uinity I love it and the spirit is there and we both move forward together. Those are the lessons I love. She told me this week, when I started a lesson, that it went so well and that I did great, so she knows I can do it sometimes its just hard to compete for some time. oh well. we are working on it.

OH also yesterday President called and told sister P she would be training! So exciting which means I am not! YES! I used to be stoked about the idea of training but now I just want to know what it is like with a normal companion who has been out for sometime longer than I have. She didn't see that coming - I totally called it but whateves haha! So yeah I am probably leaving st cloud but not quit positive.. I will find out on Monday. cool!

Okay so also this week we made choco cookie cupcakes. they were bomb. Lisa is amazing! gah! chef with cat cora for crying out loud that's awesome! we also went tracting a handful of times and it was hilarious! Here is a great story: the other day we knocked on this door to find a 13yold boy who wouldn't look us in the eye, and we talked and i asked him a few questions to receive only "yes mam" as an answer and i gave him a Mormon.org card...THEN he then turned to his older brother further behind him in the house and yelled"jack, is the goat ready for sacrifice yet?!" we just said thanks and walked away... as we turned and he shut the door I said"Hey you do sacrifice too?!?" My comp died laughing hahah! ultra funny.

ALSO we were walking down the lakefront before dinner one evening and suddenly this car pulls up with a man yelling 'SISTERS" I was so excited because NO one does that. Turns out it is a Less Active, Dale Irvin, who is gay and lives with his partner Keith. THEY ARE THE BEST! I love them! Dale was a member his whole life and served a mission and has been struggling with this trial during his whole life. He gave in and now knows the consequences of his actions but he still knows and love his Heavenly Father and has a relationship with him. When I heard that I felt it. Anywho - so they are great and building a home for sister missionaries across from their house in OUR AREA! so basically - even though I may not be staying in st cloud I am trying to work it out so sisters can live in it asap because the Munns are moving out this week and LITERALLY everyone says that the worst street is Carolina because of all the murders and drugs... yes all plural. but oh well it is just like cherry ave all over again with the creepy dark house on the right and the sunny houses to the left.. (if you are inside the house) Also I just love working with less actives and helping them recognize the importance of church. We read "Lord I believe" wioth one family which was really powerful. I would invite all of you to read it! It is amazing! OH fact! my comp had Brother White as a chastity speaker at efy! so my one of my fav seminary teachers was her fav efy speakers.. RAD! wellp I love you all!
Write me a letter or something. I need birthdates. love you and pray for you! ps this was the first fast sunday I fully fasted and I also saw results with NO MIGRAINE... still figuring that out.. LOVE YOU SO MUCH! sister zoë HART

12 week program is ALMOST OVER!!!!

On Mon, Aug 26, 2013 at 12:15 PM, Zoe Hart wrote:

CHYEAH BOYYYYYY! finally almost done with training.... FACT: I love school because you get to experience learning from different teachers....I love the mission because Zone Conference and District MTG allows me to learn from different teachers! YES!!!!! So we had Zone conference this week which was BOMBIN!!!! seriously! I got to see elder waller, Hermana monson, and sister Pike finally made it to ORLANDO! bomb! I just loved it! we learned some great things about working with our members and about how to become better and what not. Also they really cracked down on the sisters to not use backpacks...seriously sisters you're pouting? its unprofessional. end of story. the elders are going to have to have messenger bags too. Can somebody say timbuk2 mission? HA! anyway. so. Uh this week was crazy. we started out with 2 investigators and ended the week with 8! YES! the church is true! No the best thing was that after being so diligent and trying SO hard to find people to talk to and to teach our members finally pulled through with referrals and we got a LOT of solid gators! I love it! It is when you show the lord you are willing he will enable you to do that which he sees fit for the area. It was really great because sometimes we got out and only talk to 2 people in an hour or bike around for 2 hours and don't see 1 soul on the path but then the lord STILL blesses you as long as you are doing your best and trying to follow his guidance and promptings from the spirit! The work is getting great! Also everything just got really good for DORA! She lost her car, then got a car and all her money figured out for the time. ANd yesterday she was sick and couldn't come to church so Sister P and I decided to check up on her and share a scripture. She was so happy we came by and then was eager for a message but we asked her to say the opening prayer... she was REALLY unwilling and NERVOUS that she would mess up, but we just folded our arms and closed our eyes and waited. then... SHE SAID THE PRAYER! HER FIRST PRAYER! oh my goodness I have not felt the spirit like that in a while! Then she was saying afterwards that she cannot wait to get better at it! Ahh I was soo pleased to hear that! She is really starting to progress! I love her. wellp. its the final countdown in STCNorth and we are not sure what will happen with transfers in 2 weeks. ahh! Whatever happens is supposed to happen... I love the work and love the Lord! I LOVE ALL OF YOU AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRAYERS< LOVE AND SUPPORT! can you send me addresses for the cousins and other families maybe? thanks loads! LOVE YOU! sister HART

HEYO - My name is WO...okay?

received from sister hart 8/12/2013 -- privacy edits by her mom

It seemed fitting because this morning I found out Sister p has totally seen Kung Pow! haha! I was saying "we're children. we're children." and she started laughing her head off because I had seen that movie as well. CRAZY FUNNY! Anywho.

so this week was good. A little bit rough because the ONLY way to find and talk to people is by tracting and we were NOT motivated to do that ever... GAH! I secretly love tracting though because it is HILARIOUS to hear peoples excuses and see people from literally every walk of life - they are seriously all in st. cloud. but we did get to visit some great members, found out sister m worked for heritage press and she gave us these great little typography quotes and such. love it. and i have some rad service opportunities and I am PRO at street contacting... well maybe not pro but I am getting there.

example: The other day we were biking to the library, and I passed a man who said God Bless you as I passed. I said thanks and proceeded across the street to see that he had j-walked to his car and I was there again and stopped to talk to him - sister p had to flip around and so it was me and this guy for a little talking. I told him we were missionaries and bleepblooblee (all the introduction stuff) and he told me that he had SO many questions about our church - BOOMB! President hall said if they ask questions they are ready to receive the truth. RAD! so I got his information - testified of truthfulness of our message and we gave him a bom and a Mormon.org card. SICK. he ran into the library to look it up right then. awesome right? unfortunately he is in the other st. cloud area so we wont teach him but it was still so cool!

Then another day this week we went out and did service for Sister P's recent convert, L***. WE got to GARDEN~! AH! it reminded me of Dad and all of your gardening! sooo fun! I love gardening! and down here there are frogs everywhere so I was soo hoppy to catch some (punny). I also saw a HUGE wolf spider and totally saved L*** and S.P from it. Yeah Sister P calls on me EVERYDAY to do stuff like that - she hates bugs.... After that we walked around Harmony(L****'s little town - google it, its beautiful) and we saw some of our members in a u-haul truck. They offered us water at their new house so they said you could walk or we could have my wife pick you up OR you could garbage man style it? I, without hesitation, replied "oh we'll garbage man style it for sure!" YES! soo funny. And the pictures we took seriously tell you the difference between sister parker and I - she is holding on for dear life and I'm leaning back having a great time. Well once we came to a complete stop I jumped off...not my smartest idea because my ctr ring got stuck on the handle and I pulled my pinky to the point of spraining or something because it is HUGE now... haha. of course I could careless about my finger though and as soon as it happened I was searching ALL over for my ctr ring - that was top priority. I found it thanks to the comp.

OH also Monday when I mailed the packages that I hope you got - I lost my mish debit card.... yikes. we got to walmart to pay for groceries and sister p had to pay for all of them because I didn't know where my card was! I prayed and felt like we needed to go bnack to the post office - where I had to show some id and immediately got my card! I love the power of prayer! I don't understand how people can make of excuses for such a simple act and refuse themselves of this powerful opportunity.

Dad I got your package! I love the Shirt!!!! pictures are coming. and I was literally talking to a member family - S**** B*****- and she was talking about the missionary in the train accident and I asked who it was but they couldn't remember - and sister parker was like Sister hart probably knows them - jokingly but from your letter I guess I sorta do... HA!

Yesterday sister b, hilarious women converted basically by Donny O, told me that He is coming to Tampa in a few months. She asked me to pull some strings and I just laughed. Jessi and Don if you come out too and drive through Orlando look for a super freckley ginger on a black bike... that'll be me. Side note: somehow the Donssica wedding came up and Sister p was like NO WAY that you're sorta related...Its so odd that people make such a huge deal of it to know people - granted because of the opportunity of living aspen grove I was able to meet and get to know MANY cool people but still - people freak out about it.

so whats happening at home? Today I read about Abinadi and King Noah and just thought about how he was called to prophesy to these people and to call them to repentance. He went before the king not knowing that anyone would actually repent and believe his words- and he died before he could find out if anyone did. But after his death there was one who believed - one who repented - and one who began to share the truth. Alma became converted because of Abinadis service and testimony. It is the same for a mission. I have been called to Orlando to call the people to repentance. I don't know if anyone will actually repent and believe and I may not know if anyone will - but this is what God called me to do so I will do just that. Sometimes the fruits of our labors are not so evident, maybe not evident at all, but we still need to do what the Lord has commanded us to do. We need to do all we can to follow his commandments and share his gospel.

Wellp. I would hope that you all pray for something SPECIFIC this week and I know that you will get a specific answer as you listen to the spirit and read the scriptures and the words from modern day prophets. It is by those means that we receive answers. I love the work and love the Lord.
I LOVE YOU ALL! XOXO zozo

froglegs, gator, turtle, catfish...florida cracker special

received from sister hart 8/5/2013 -- privacy edits by her mom

hello hello helloooo (jim carrey voice from unfortunate events)

so a little update about st cloud: it was one of the prime locations for the KKK - they still have some crazy crosses around in some rather scary looking woody locations. and not too many years ago they stopped doing kkk parades down the main street in st cloud... yeah I'm in the south... also I ate the Florida cracker (clearly southern title) special. Complete with Frog legs, gator, catfish, turtle, and normal fried seafood. HOLY CRAAP! the frog legs were like jumpy and you could totally bend them like ush(usual) and the gator wasn't too bad.

This last week was one of those odd mission weeks - where NOTHING goes as planned. first was transfers and I'm still in St Cloud (the members were soo pleased) with Sister P. My DL is now a zone leader and I no longer have to deal with sister fart...or so I thought. and my new district leader is great and always making us feel good - which is good because s. p. needs that sometimes. She has had a hard time lately with our not so evident success in STC. She really wants to know why she is serving in the area.... unfortunately we cannot always know why we are called to a specific area at a specific time.. that's just how it works with the Lord - but lucky for her the Bishop of the STC ward offered and wanted to give us all blessings! It was one of the coolest experiences because he flat out said what we can be doing to further the work and help each other.... I've been getting a little frustrated lately because when we account for things and talk to others s. p tends to exaggerate a little bit and you know how much I love to be smart alecky and correct people.... its been a trial but I just pray for the patience and try not to correct just tell the honest truth. haha...awkward. anyway. We got to visit with some great people this week and yeah nothing really exciting. one thing I wanted to tell you was that a few weeks ago one of our less active old ladies totally kissed me on the mouth! ahhhhhh! I died. yikes. It was crazy but. fine. I survived. sorry this is short but seriously nothing great...

BUT this week with our PI D** she finally started progressing for reals and really desires more and I like to think its because we watched Elder Holland's talk Safety for the Soul - SO GOOD! watch it! READ it! its BRILLLIANT! she connects better with videos and visuals soo that's what we are doing. I love her she is hilarious....

Challenge for the week: Bro and Dad...and whomever else: read Come all ye sons of God by President Monson! It is spectac! and totally applies to our daily lives! Today I studied from Mosiah 2 and just reviewed the talk Which way is my tent facing from GC. So good - I know my life is faced toward a temple marriage and it is staying there because of my foundation of Christ and my Faith in Him! I read from DC 31 as well. Replace Thomas with my name and that's what im doing in st cloud - helping those in the church because the world isn't ready for us yet.... we are reactivating members and building actives members up so they can begin to share the gospel and begin their missions. I love this church. I love st cloud and the members treat us soo well. This is easily the greatest area and I hope to stay here for a long time... its so great! wellp I love you all sooo stinking much!

 HASTA LUEGO! Zoë

ps. any fav scrips that bring comfort, talk about forever fams, or possible quotes I should read? lemme know;)\\

No bras. No teeth. No problem

received from Sister Hart 7/29/13 -- privacy edits by her mom

Okay so wow. It has been a great first 6 weeks! And I get to stay here in St. Cloud with my trainer because President Berry believes in the full 12 week training. CRAY! Yes I am SO excited because I love it out here. It is soo sublime. So like I've said-literally no one has teeth. but better yet no one wears a bra. Like no one. Every week we get flashed ALL the time. Poor Elders. JAJAJAHA! (yes I laugh in Spanish because now I am trying to speak Spanglish because my comp cant speak Spanish but I have to practice somehow. AYAYAY! It is definitely a challenge but Ive already seen growth...sorta)

so This week went a little something like this:
We met LOADS of people from trying to achieve the goal that Pres Berry set for us. Although many of them are rude or uninterested it is still a great time to get to talk with people and find those few (4/45) who are ready to receive our message. I love it. Tracting is easily my favorite thing because going from house to house is HILARIOUS! We count how many shirtless people we see, how many people are drunk, high, or just intoxicated, and of course how many were actually wearing a bra... it is seriously ridiculous that THAT is a trend down here. Not like 90/2000s trend either- like its not an episode of friends-its an episode of like some elderly show where 60ys on up acts like the people from Friends. PS one of my ward families LOVE friends! The couple are hilarious and they call each other their lobsters! hahah! I love it! Then one rad thing we had was that when we were walking down the street (depending on the street....Flight of the Concords always pops in my head while we tract....give it time im sure it will go away.) We waved to some cars (as usual) and then one came and pulled up next to us - it was a guy that we had just waved to and he had Mormon friends and wanted to know more! SO RAD! I always wanted a missionary experience like that and I totally got it.

Oh check this out: so yesterday we had our first official apt with our new PI(our gator who chased down the missionaries in McDs and asked to know more) he said we couldn't teach him at his house because everyone is catholic and they wont appreciate us - so he told us to go to his friends house-saying that they need God and the missionaries are the professionals who plant seeds of faith in people (HOW IS HE NOT MORMON?!?) He said that the sons of this family is who he is friends with and the parents are Cuban Americans... cool. So we got our stuff and headed out. As we pulled up to the house our PI called and said his friends weren't home but the mom was (actually gma) but she only speaks SPANISH...just our luck.. I felt SOOOO nervous but Sister Baagas was with us and just told us how we would be led by the spirit and that it truly was in the Lords hands...she was right. I prayed I would be able to understand her and be able to talk to her as best I could. AND I DID...well sorta I felt horrible because I didn't have a Spanish book of Mormon and I didn't have anything ready in Spanish so I just said the prayer in Spanish and set up another appointment with her...Thank you BYU Spanish class. But it was such a cool experience to talk to her and our PI because our investigator is Vietnamese and has a super thick accent but he loves this other family that he just met because he JUST moved here from Maryland! Crazy guy but he just wants everyone to have a good influence in their life and be friends and know God. WOW. Cool.

This week I also got to have interviews with our President. WHOALLLLLE.. IT went great! He is so great and told me that I need to keep doing what I am doing so I can be even more ready to train next transfer....GULP! gah! but secretly so stoked because lets get real who ever I would have to train is going to have a good time. haha! Anyway that was great! Also we planned a temple tour with our first PI. We hadn't heard from her all day and were super worried she wouldn't meet us at the member's house. But sure enough at 6 on the dot she pulled up. Then we started the drive to the temple and it started pouring! Like we couldn't see cars or the raod! AH! Sister scheckman had us pull over and told the missionaries to pray. So Sis Parker did and after it slowly started clearing up so we started driving. Then it STOPPED ALL TOGETHER and the RAYS of sun BEAMED through the clouds and the temple was beautiful. The tour was amazing! I love the temple! Then the guide was bearing his testimony and right as he said Amen It started pouiring again! AHHH I loved it! The little girls had to use the bathroom and so we got to go inside the waiting room of the temple! I love it there - Our PI felt amazing she said it was like heaven in the movies. AH, Take advantage fo the temple. For me the moral of the story: Prayer Works. Elder Kopische comes this next month to speak to the mission...I'm so stoked because his talk in GC was UNREAL and great just like all the others. I love GC! I miss going to firesides EVERY Sunday night at the Grove. It was some of the best times. But I am learning a lot out here so obvi NO REGRETS! ;) jaja!

Lets see Oh yeah soo the great thing about our gospel is that we are always learning - and relearning even. What a great thing. I love learning - people we meet always ask what we want to do once we are done here and when Sis. Parker says teacher they say that's great and teachers are amazing. Then I tell them I want to be a doctor and its always followed by - well you'll be in school for the rest of your life, or wow.... or well that's nice.. Good luck with that. I don't let it get me down EVER because I just think about how much I have learned and the JOY I find in learning! The Gospel helps you accomplish whatever you want - even in school - It blesses our lives in so many ways that I didn't even recognize before! I love it! I read the GC talks by Ann Dibbs called Stand in Holy Places and another one I can't recall the title of but it talks about the same thing. She said how our holy places can be actual places or just moments in time. She then shares Joseph Smiths Holy PLaces. WOW Nature, his bedroom, and liberty jail. All of those places brought huge experience of personal revelation to him and can do the same for us. We can have similar experiences in our own holy places by doing what is right and living our gospel principles and keeping our commandments. It is a commandment to pray. Our Heavenly Father wants to hear from us. In order to hear answers from him we not only need to ponder but also look to the scriptures for those answers. It is there that He will speak to us. I love that. I love that we can have such powerful personal spiritual experiences in our own holy places. It reminds me of the end of winter semester at BYU and I had just finished the BOM and decided to take Moroni's Promise. I prayed there in my little empty dorm room and asked my Father if the things I had read were true. Like a bucket of water pouring over my head (just like when coaches are drenched in Gatorade) I felt the spirit surround me and reassure me of my previous knowledge and testify of the truthfulness of the words in that book. It basically came over me and said YOU KNOW THIS IS TRUE...YA GOON...basically. I love that I can experience a holy place as I testify of this Restored gospel on someones doorstep - I receive reassuring feelings everytime someone opens their door and I Open MY MOUTH! I would invite all of you to OYM. To open your mouth - Open Your Mouth and pray, OYM and testify of this gospel, OYM and stand in Holy places as a witness of Jesus Christ and His restored gospel-OYM because when you do GOOD things happen. I know this to be true! I promise you that you will feel of the goodness that comes from Opening Your Mouth. Challenge for the week: OYM. and Read Ann Dibbs talk from YWGC and We are One from Priesthood sesh. I LOVE YOU ALLL SOOO STINKING MUCH! Xanxan thanks for the letter-I laughed. and when it was a huge envelope I thought it may be a wedding announcement and almost had a hart attack. ha. oops. ha. . anyway. I love you all seriously to pieces and although I may not be homesick I do miss you and think of you and pray for you often. (mostly at night because that's the only time I really have time think of you) GPahart I totally did what you told scotty to do on his mish with my MTC comp... it truly does help to look for those good things everyday. Well hasta luego!
